Prince of Tennis: Tezuka/Fuji, Firsts: First time

Title: Short course on implications and consequences [6/10]
Author: Ele Rgb (ele5)
Rating: high G or very mild PG
Theme: Firsts: First time
Author's notes: I'm tying Firsts and Wrongs together.

Fuji could affect his thinking in ways nobody else could. He was highly tempted to say that Fuji actually reduced his intelligence. (Inui would most likely add that by 90%, bu he wasn’t really wanting to speak about his sensibility or insanity with anybody.)

The first time he had noticed it was, when that childish captain of Kakinoki had came to ask him and Fuji whether they were spying opponents. His first thought had been “Should have been more careful. Now we got caught and soon everybody knows.”

The second thought had been “Exactly, what does everybody know? It’s not as if I was dating Fuji or that we were looking for a place to make out.”

The third thought, of course, “Tezuka Kunimitsu, you are the captain of Seigaku. The captain of Seigaku should be an intelligent human being and not some paranoid wit who believes to be dating Fuji. As a conclusion, you should be an intelligent human being.”

He didn’t really know how or why things had come to this point, and he didn’t know whether anybody had really noticed anything. He had started to suspect, that Fuji was fully aware of what was happening, and even encouraging it.

He knew that he should be very irritated by the way Fuji brushed past him, or smiled at him (and it was very different from the smile Fuji gave anybody else). Irritated because it affected him, and by affecting him, it affected his tennis, and by affecting his tennis it affected the performance of the team.

He just couldn’t stop his heart starting to beat a bit faster, and that slight feel of breathlessness, and the very small, almost invisible, smile curving his lips.
