“What do you want from me, Draco?” Harry asked, his voice tired.

Draco smirked, eyebrow still raised. “Considering I’m the one who got dragged into a corridor, shouldn’t I be the one asking that question?”

Harry sighed and shook his head. “I just…” He trailed off for a moment and glanced back over at Draco, who said nothing. “I miss you.”

It was something that Draco had wanted to hear for weeks and now that he had, he wasn’t sure what to say. In defense, he reverted back to form.

“Needed to get off and figured I’d be good enough, is that it?” he asked, fighting to keep the mask in place. Harry studied him for a moment and shook his head.

Draco blinked. “No?”

“That’s right. No. Don’t put words in my mouth, Draco. I said I miss you. That may happen to include your body but I miss you. Even if you can be a prat.”

He narrowed his eyes. “If this is your way of declaring your undying love to me, it’s severely lacking.”

“I’m not here to do that either.” Harry paused. “I just know that it hurts to look at you. I see you in the Great Hall or in class and it hurts.” He gave a wry smile. “Feels a bit like I’m missing an arm or a leg or something.” He took a deep breath. “So I guess what I’m saying is I want to give us a chance. Another one, that is. On two conditions.”

Draco stared at him, curiosity in his eyes. “Name them.”

“One, I won’t leave at the sign of trouble if you’ll trust me,” Harry said.

He nodded and motioned for Harry to continue. “All right. The other condition?”

“You do a cleaning spell on us because I really don’t fancy going to Potions like this.” Harry looked down at their now dirty pants and frowned. Draco grinned.
